Peugeot has launched its new five-seat MPV, the Peugeot Bipper Tepee.
The Peugeot Bipper Tepee has a choice of a 1.4-litre HDi engine or a 1.4-litre petrol engine. The emissions rating on the 70bhp diesel is very low, CO2 emissions of 119g/km (qualifying it for £35 road tax) and combined fuel economy of 62.8mpg. The engine is mated to either a five-speed manual or an electronically controlled five-speed manual. On the other hand, the petrol engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, CO2 emissions of 155g/km and combined economy of 42.8mpg.
The low power gives credit to cleaner emissions, and better fuel economy. However, the performance figures is accordingly low. None of the two engines are capable of hitting 100 mph, and the fastest sprint is a 16.6 second 0-62mph achieved with the petrol.
The load area has a capacity of 356 litres under the rear parcel shelf. While the the 60/40 split rear bench seat folded, the Peugeot Bipper Tepee can fit up to 884 liters of cargo.
Power steering, dual sliding doors, and antilock brakes are all standard. The vehicle also comes with four airbags. Two trim levels are offered – S and Outdoor – and standard kit includes 15-inch steel wheels, ABS, CD player with MP3 compatibility and heated door mirrors.
The Bipper Tepee is on sale now with an attractive price, from £9995.
